IBERIAN IBEX (Capra pyrenaica). Its distribution area includes some of the mountain ranges that form the Sistema Central, specifically the Sierra de Guadarrama in Segovia, Sierra de Gredos in Ávila, and Sierra de Francia, in Salamanca. Besides, there are small groups of Iberian Ibex in Picos de Europa and Ancares, Leon.
The hunting period is divided in two parts: the first covers the months of March and June, and the second runs from early October to mid-December. The Iberian Ibex trophy consists on the permanent horns formed by a bony core covered by a corneous case. For the trophy homologation, the trophy should be clean from any foreign material and not assembled to a table.
